I can't believe some of you people actually thought you going to get away with that price on the Kiss boxset. Get real. You tried to beat the system and you lost. Live with it.
although it does suck that we won't get the sets at that price, I can't blame the store for not wanting to take a bath over a typo.

if the old KISS sets retail for $100 here(w/4 figs), I'd hate to see what the 7 fig set will be...

From an ethical point of view it was arguably "wrong" to try and order the set from SBP at that price since it was "known" to be the wrong price. However, if you walk into a store and an item has a price tag clearly affixed to it (actually on the item CCat, not just jeans thrown on the sale table [img]wink.gif[/img] ) the store is obligated to sell you the item for that price. I don't see where that principle of retail "changes" just because the store is an online store instead of a brick and mortar store. SBP priced the set at $12.99. This was something they had to deliberately do in listing it on their site. Further, it's not like a ton of people crashed the place and ordered in just a few hours, or even a day or two. SBP left the set listed on their site at that price for approximately 11 days! Too bad for them if they didn't catch it sooner. Poor business practice on their part.
And now they have compounded their error with the way they have handled their screw up. They could have been honest with their customers and admitted they screwed up and offered people the option to either keep the pre-order at the higher price if they wanted or to cancel the order. Instead, SBP has fraudulently canceled people's orders by lying in their emails that the reason for the cancellation was that the item had been discontinued, when they know very well that it has not been.
Add to that SBP's complaints to TMP about people ordering at that price and their collusion with TMP to get all threads on the BBs dealing with this situation pulled, and SBP has opened themselves up to a world of trouble if people feel motivated enough to make it.
